SHOOT-OUT PAIN FOR CARSON

SHOOT-OUT PAIN FOR CARSON: "Scott Carson's dream of reaching the European Under-21 Championship final is over following a dramatic penalty shoot-out defeat to Holland on Monday evening.
England were beaten 13-12 on spot kicks after West Ham's Anton Ferdinand hit the crossbar.

Carson had earlier shown great composure to tuck his side's seventh penalty beyond Dutch stopper Boy Waterman.

Leroy Lita's first-half strike looked to have earned Stuart Pearce's men a place in the final until Marceo Rigters' last-minute equaliser.

England were forced to play much of extra-time with 10 men due to injuries."
